Steven Page

Steven, whilst a practicing lawyer, won a scholarship to study at the National Opera Studio. Since then he has sung with the major opera companies and orchestras in the UK and many abroad.

Most recently he has played Anna Fewmore Pleasure (Opera North), Old Man/Vagrant The Devil Inside (Scottish Opera/ Music Theatre Wales), Judge Sweeney Todd,(Welsh National Opera), Entertainer Orango (Moscow), Speaker Magic Flute, Fillipovich A Dog’s Heart, Walsingham in Damon Albarn’s Doctor Dee (English National Opera), Nick Shadow Rake’s Progress, Pirate King Pirates of Penzance (Scottish Opera) and Alfonso Cosi fan tutte (WNO).

He has also appeared as Alidoro La Cenerentola and Spencer Coyle  Owen Wingrave (Royal Opera House), Mittenhofer Elegy for young Lovers, Alfonso Cosi fan tutte (ENO),  Ford Falstaff, (Scottish Opera),  Leporello Don Giovanni, Balstode Peter Grimes, Pizarro Fidelio, Minsk Man in Jonathan Dove’s Flight, Anubis The Second Mrs. Kong (Glyndebourne), Sir Roderick Murgatroyd Ruddigore and Sharpless Madam Butterfly (Opera North), Papageno The Magic Flute (Dublin), Olin Blitch in Carlisle Floyd’s Susanna (Nantes), Prus Makropoulos Case (New York, Berlin and Lyons), Leporello Don Giovanni and Nick Shadow (New Israeli Opera), Captain of the Pinafore, the title role Mikado, Lord Chancellor Iolanthe (Carl Rosa).
